This price is after a $40 rebate. It's only got a 2mb cache but I guess that would be fine for a storage drive. And probably better than my primary drive now...lol

Anyway Links to the drive: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=416275&Sku=THD-1200AA%20P

And to the rebate form: http://www.tigerdirect.com/sectors/Rebates/PDFs/THD-1200AA_P_may.pdf

This is only good on this drive if purchased by May 24th so hurry.

Well fellas, I drove down to Fry's today...(dreamy sequence) What a place. I never fails to be amazed at an electronics store that has 70 checkout lines...Anyway, walked away with a Hitachi 160gb 7200 w/8mb cache for $169 w/ $65 rebate. So for $90ish...Sale ends in 10 days. It's the Hitachi Deskstar, which I frequently used to refer to as the IBM Deathstar as they were crappy drives. But it has a 3 year warranty so I guess that is hard to beat. Get 'em while their hot!
