Hey there

have an old notebook PII 233 Mhz and crashed the onboard phones exit.

Bought a Creative Soundblaster Mp3+ USB Card. Win2k recoginzes the card, it works, but when I want to listen I get a lot of interruptions. Technicla support suggests turning off dma and let it run in PIO but that seems to slow down everything a lot.

Anyone has another idea??

I'd suggest purchasing a dedicated USB PCI card, preferrably 2.0 version. You can get these for about $10-20.

That will take the processing off the CPU and put it on the card. Which should work better for you.
