Take a look at this:

First the description says it's spyware free:
Warez is a spyware-free file-sharing program. Search for and download your favorite music and video files shared by other users on a free peer-to-peer network.
Then if you scroll down a bit, you'll see these two warnings:

lol!
the best p2p program is ebay, j/k :)
read the users comments :)
quote
Sure, it has a nice queuing system and cool multi-source downloads or whatever, but that's no help when you can't find the songs you want. This program seems infested with teens listening to nothing but top-40 hits
quote
"hopeless search"
Trying the search function even with most common movie- or music titles did not result in any findings at all! Even the few links on the Warez page itself were not accepted. A pure waste of time.
"whats wrong with you people?"
This program is great, sure it has a small banner at the bottom, but its unobtrusive, and well worth it. Except Kazaa before it turned to garbage, i have never found a P2P that had so many of the files im looking for, fast downloads, and ease of use. and beleive me, i've looked. Warez is the best thing i've found. dont be afraid to give try it.
"Queued Queued Queded"
Everything is queued. I haven't managed to download a single file yet. Waste of time.
"why does this app run hidden in background?"
Check the registry under localusers\software\microsoft\windows\run This is where windwows looks to see what applications to run when it first starts up. So my question is, what is this application doing running constantly in the background? Furthermore, the -h behind it means that it is hidden from the user. Seems a little strange to me.
man this is funnier than the comics hehe
hahahaha

Thanks, egghead! Warez seems to be a weird P2P app, I wonder why Kevin Rose had recommended it on TechTV.

LOL - talk about mixed reviews.
It's 50/50 right down the line, but the fact it has adwares says it all.

most of the positive reviews sound like the programmer made them
he even put spelling mistakes in many to throw you off
my opinion hehe

I love people that read the EULA...I have found so many cool looking apps to DUMP because the EULA said stuff like that.
>insert opinion here<
I've stopped listening to most things coming off of Kevin Roses show. Not that he is uninformed or unintelligent, but the quality of information has really declined.

How did you get rid of Kazaa's adware? Did you use DietK or a similar program?

I Think That Warezp2p Connects To The Same Network As Ares. And Ares Has No Spyware. The Only Problem I Have With It Is The Same As MAny Other P2p's.
When I Disconnect I Don't Wanna See That For Some Reason People Are Still
Downloading From Me. Disconnect Means Disconnect. Same Problem With DC++
And Emule.

When I Disconnect I Don't Wanna See That For Some Reason People Are Still Downloading From Me.
And Emule. That can be simply solved. If you're using a software firewall, block the P2P from accessing the internet. Or why don't you simply close or "end task" it? :D

I use shareaza sometimes. It's open source now and has never had any spy or adware. I also use Bittornado.

Thats odd indeed, it even has a wizard. Maybe some firewall is blocking in and outgoing connections. Also make sure you connect to Gnutella2 and optionally edonkey.

I tried a lot, Rex. Thanks for your suggestions. I don't know if ZA Pro was interfering with it though.

I tried Shareaza but couldn't get it to work :(IMO the default settings are wrong. I can get torrents through Shareaza that I can not
get through Bittorrent. The Edonkey network never connects. I get things from
the Gnutula1 and Gnutula2 networks.

Shareaza might have issues with firewall apps, routers, and NAT. Try changing some of the settings. I like shareaza. I think it is a fine app. As always, set it and forget it.

I get torrents with it as well as Gnutula1 and Gnutula2 networks.
