so guys I have reformatted my Winxp system and I'm looking to find out... what does everyone think about open office... I currently have MS office XP installed on my system...
should I drop it in favor of open office or what?
what are everyone's takes on it...
(this isn't intended to be a MS bashing thread looking for an open and honest opinion here)

Since you already have MS office XP I would leave it. But for someone who does not have an office software package and does not want to pay for MS office XP Open Office (http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/source/1.1.0/) is a great way to go.

Use both. Pick the one you like best after using them for a period of time??

Because you already have paid for Office XP, I'd say stick to it. But if you want to save some money in the future, use OpenOffice instead of upgrading to new versions of MS Office. I've used both and OpenOffice is too good to be true. The only reason I'm still using MS Office is FrontPage.
