hi, have several problems with fuking bill gates softwares..lol
the thing is i have a notebook, a compaq presario 1400
i formated it becouse it become slow, i instaled win xp, it worked well for like 2 weeks when the blue window with the error irql not less or equal or some other error like "stop followed by a number" when windows was iniciating
so, i formated again, but when a turn off the pc, and tuned on again the error came.
i tried win98, 2000 but the same thing..
what can i do?
the only thing that is not original is a ram, but didn't couse any problem, it haves like 2 years on.

It most likely is the ram. IRQL errors with the blue screen are noted for being ram related. Though it could be other issues.

If you have the complete IRQL message along with the stop number then we can help further. For now, try changing the ram and see if that doesn't improve this situation.
