Soft to edit/cut/crop MP3 files?

Hello everybody!
I'm looking for a soft that runs on WinXP (or Win98) to cut and/or crop a (preferably) MP3 music file.
Found MixCraft but does not accept MP3 music intake (unlike the add was stipulating!).
Thanks for any information on this...
