Man this sucks. My heater core spilled it's guts inside of my car - so I bypass the core only to find out, after filling the resivor with new antifreeze, that it has a bad leak. It won't do any good anyway as who wants drive around in 30+ - 40 degree without a heater. I'm stuck here now with nothing within walking distance. Just thought I would share that if someone thinks they are having a bad day.
***-edit - top that off with a blood blister on my finger from messing with it.

You might want to avoid coffee spills if you find a way to use it in the house though ;)
do those things really work?

Hey, thats a great invention BB, i reckon it would in handy for the cool nites at the drive-in watching movies or... camping :D
LK, did u manage to get it fixed now? It might force you to stay home - gives you time to perhaps work on your old motorbike :D

too cold to work on anything - storm headed this way. Nope, I am very stuck. I don't have the tools for this - nor the parts. When my harley was stolen so were most of my tools. I was working with a screwdriver and a knife yesterday when I gave myself a bloodblister. I'll wait till storm is gone.

Damn LK, doing it tough... you got a common car, meaning, could u go to the local hardware shop for parts? It's going to be a pain of a job, we had to replace our system a few months back... had to take out dashboard and run new pipes into engine bay :(

The only other car, I don't drive much. It's my mother's and she needs it for her senior group luncheons. I don't like her to drive because of her eyesight but it's hard to stop her.
It also needs repair though - rear main seal and tranny hose is leaking badly. No, I just have to wait it out. There will be some money if our last property sells - so far offers have been much too low - might have to accept because mortgage is due on this house.
Maybe wait until spring to drive. I don't need a heater then and can just buy the reservoir.

heh, well this sucks. I know many may have it worse - maybe not but it's 32F now and 27F freezing rain is headed this way. I'd rather it snow than freezing rain. This stuff really sucks.

Well you know this means you might have to stay indoors with your open fire place and a nice bear skin rug, a bottle of champagne, some barry white and turn into a Love machine ;)
