Recently ive been doing alot of reading on overclocking and decided i want to begin my first overclocking project hence why im building this new PC.
Case-ASPIRE X-Navigator Black Aluminum ATX Mid-Tower Case with side window and 500W Power Supply, Model"ATXA8NW-BK/500" -RETAIL
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-144-090&depa=1
Ive pretty much already decided on this case.I really like how it looks and will probally modify it slightly by adding a second fan on the side window.
Processor-AMD Mobile Athlon XP 2600+, 266 MHz FSB, 512K L2 Cache Processor,45 Watt - OEM
http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=19-103-436&catalog=23&manufactory=BROWSE
Ive been told this processor is great for overclocking and have heard of people overclocking easily to 2.8GHZ with nothing but the stock equipment.
DVD-RW/+RW drive-Sony Internal 16X DVD+/-RW / Double Layer Drive Black, Model DW-D22A-B2, OEM
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=27-131-239&depa=1
Seems like a really great deal.I would like some imput from anyone that knows alkot6 about DVD-RW drives because as ive found out before great deals usually have a catch.
Hard Drives-Maxtor DiamondMax 10 200GB 7200RPM P-ATA/133 Hard Drive, Model 6B200P0
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=22-140-151&depa=1
I also have a Maxtor 120GB 7200RPM hard drive im gonna add for a slave drive.
Motherboard-ASUS "A7N8X-E Deluxe" nForce2 Ultra 400 Chipset Motherboard for AMD Socket A CPU -RETAIL
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-131-478&depa=1
I have used the ASUS Nforce2 A7N8X board in another PC and was very satisfied and also heard these are great for OCing.
Video Card-ATI AIW RADEON 9700 PRO Video Card, 128MB DDR, CATV/VIVO, 8X AGP -OEM
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-102-365&depa=1
