You can see a trailer to this up and coming film that I personally find very interesting. It's about the soldiers in Iraq and their story. You get to see what it is like for them from the inside out.

Take a look at the trailers. Looks to be a good film.

(in the links section, click 56K)

Description:
American soldiers of the 2/3 Field Artillery, a group known as the "Gunners," tell of their experiences in Baghdad during the Iraq War. Holed up in a bombed out pleasure palace built by Sadaam Hussein.

56K links there buds. Sorry about that. In the future I'll try to dig up some 56K friendly trailers. They'll be tiny and low quality but you can get the general idea.

Finally watched this last night. Great documentary-style movie. Some funny moments, sad moments, and shows a brief glimpse at what the men and women in the US military are going through.

And the thing that hit me the most about this is what one of the SFC's Stuart Wilf said:

“If you see any politicians be sure to let them know that while they’re sitting around their dinner tables with their families talking about how hard the war is on them, we’re here under attack nearly 24 hours a day. Dodging RPG’s and fighting not just for a better Iraq but just to stay alive.”

-Spc. Stuart Wilf 2/3 FA - Iraq War Veteran

That blew me away. Because during the entire movie he was portrayed as a goof.... but then right at the end you see some of the intelligence behind the bufoonery.

A good movie that shows you what it's like for the soldiers on the front lines. I don't know if there is any political message that creeps into this movie... I mean you see both sides of the issue. Everything from what Wilf said to what the Iraqi interpreters say about the US improving Iraq....

I do know that once you see the film you will walk away with a better sense of what is actually going on in that place.

Another "Iraq War Film" that does seem to take a political stance. I will make sure to watch this one too.
