OE Internet Config Error

?C|??net Explorer 5.1.7 for Mac.

I can no longer click on the Mail icon in my IE tool bar and connect to OE.

When I try I get an error message " An Internet Config error occured. Please verify the mail and news settings."

I've done that with the help of my ISP (earthlink) and still does not work.

I have trashed preference file and restarted...still does not work.

I can however, get to OE by going directly to the application in my hard drive.

Any ideas?

I am using OE 5.02 for Mac , OS 9.2.2 and Internet Explorer 5.1.7 for Mac.
