I just may want to rethink my security strategy (but then this is "on demand" - resident may differ): http://www.av-comparatives.org/seiten/ergebnisse_2005_02.php

That link isn't working LK.

No hotlinking allowed from them:Only links to our main site are allowed

It works when I click on it. Here's the front page: http://www.av-comparatives.org/ I thought hotlinking was stealing someone's bandwidth with images/files. How is linking to their site stealing bandwidth? I don't understand why they said that.

How is linking to their site stealing bandwidth? I don't understand why they said that. They don't do it because of bandwidth, they just want visitors to see their main page first.

A bit like when you wanted that redirect recently for your themes pages. ;)

I have said it before and I will say it again, Eugene Kaspersky is one of the most respected in his field. I just wish the real time scanner was a little less resource intensive.

This is what i get:hmm, I wonder how they did that. I guess i'm connecting out of cache.
***edit - nope, I cleared cache and I still get the correct page. Perhaps cookie?

So KAV and Norton are the best?

So KAV and Norton are the best? - it appears as far as "on demand" and "zoo viruses" - at a cost of high cpu and/or bloat - says nothing about heuristics and zero day though. I'm not sure how heuristics works though - is it applied even if it's a virus that is databased?

So KAV and Norton are the best?
No, there is no best AV, but since Avast! has the best Real Time protection its the closest, then NOD32......

I'm ready :torch:

Speaking on behalf of mr gibson I would like to say that:-
The internet is becoming a DANGEROUS PLACE with POSSIBLE MALICIOUS SOFTWARE around every corner and behind even INNOCENT looking links. I warned Microsoft about shipping their product with RAW SOCKETS enabled by default and that this could possibly bring down the ENTIRE INTERNET but they never listened to me - we will see who was right, after all it's only 4 YEARS since windows XP hit the shelves. Anyone read my DDOS report?

Wibble
Sound made by puckering your lips emitting a wwwww moan and flicking your lips with a finger. Associated with babies and mad people. Any connection either assumed or implied with my previous post is purley coincidental and unintentional (disclaimer).
