Slax is my favourite linux-live distribution! :D
The latest release 5.0.0 was released on 04/04/2005 featuring:
Kernel 2.6.11.6 with Unionfs, KDE 3.4 with KOffice, X.Org 6.8.2 - this is what other live CDs usually offer, but SLAX is going beyond. These things, together packed on a 180MB CD, are nothing new in the live CD world compared to a new SLAX feature called webconfig. With SLAX, you don't need to worry about saving changes to floppies any more. Webconfig allows you to save your SLAX configuration in a web-based online repository and restore it upon your request...."http://www.techzonez.com/images/news/icons/view.gifHomepage (http://slax.linux-live.org/) | http://www.techzonez.com/images/news/icons/software.gifDownload ISO (ftp://ftp.slax.org/slax-5.0.0.iso) (~189MB) | http://www.techzonez.com/images/news/icons/view.gifChangelog (http://slax.linux-live.org/changelog.php)

I'm just going to burn a new CD...

SLAX Standard Edition updated to release 5.0.4 (download (http://slax.linux-live.org/download.php),changelog (http://www.techzonez.com/images/news/icons/view.gif))

Two more versions were added:

SLAX KillBill Edition a pocket operating system with the ability to run many Windows applications natively in Linux. It contains wine, dosbox and qemu.
SLAX Frodo Edition the console base for all other SLAX releases. It doesn't contain almost anything, only full working Linux command prompt and drivers.

Very nice looking, not like Knoppix.
