1.Credence Clearwater Revival - Damn near every song
2.Led Zeppelin - Multiple songs
3.Lynard Skynard - Multiple songs
4.The Who - Multiple Songs
5.The Rolling Stones - Multiple songs
6.Montrose/with Sammy Haggar - Rock Candy,Bad motor scooter
7.Humble Pie - Thirty days in the hole
8.The Small Faces/with Rod Stewart - I Know I'm Losing you
9.Ten Years After - I'd Love to Change The World
10.The Kinks - Lola, You really Got me

I know I am forgetting alot, but I think all of those fall into the 60's 70's time frame.

Great choices everyone, I feel remiss for not including older Journey with Greg Rolle.

After reading this thread, I got nostalgic and broke out the LP's. I have to say that the first Van Halen album turned me from a socal "Beach Boys" guy to the (pardon the Star Wars reference) "dark side of the force".

I understand completely but I'm afraid that I was turned much earlier than that...Rush -Self Titled was the final straw but there had been others prior to that.

Working Man/Finding My Way...

Add 'Roundabout' by YES, seminal track. And if you like an extended listening experience try 'Walk on gilded splinters' by Humble Pie, 28ish minutes of pure class

Yeah, I like most all Yes.

#1 for me is Pink Floyd's "Time".

As far as a purely "classic" - improvised progressive 1960's music standpoint goes, the combination of Ginger Baker, Eric Clapton, Ric Grech, and Stevie Winwood (Blind Faith) is hard to beat
