New element: Governmentium

A major research institution has recently announced the discovery of the heaviest chemical element yet known to science.
The new element has been named Governmentium.

Governmentium has 1 electron, 25 neutrons, 75 deputy neutrons, and 100 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 201.

These 201 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons.

Since governmentium has no protons, it is inert. However, it can be detected as it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact.

A minute amount of governmentium causes one reaction to take over 4 days to complete when it would normally take less than a second.

Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2 to 4 years but it does not decay, instead it undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant deputy neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places.

In fact, governmentium mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganization causes some morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes.

This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientists to speculate that governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration.

This hypothetical transformation could lead to its isodope called pandemonium. You will know it when you see it.

Further research suggests that as the mass increases over time an eventual state of 'critical mass' occurs. At this stage Governmentium achieves a GDP (gross deficient particle) . This obviously means it must gravitate towards, and capture, a lesser Govermentium element, referred to as a counter operative undecided neutral tribal rich y-axis. The upshot of absorbing these countrys elevates (in theory) all morons to deputy neutrons, all peons to morons, and creates a new class of particles called plebeians. Unfortunately said research also concludes that due to too much spin and not enough critical mass at the centre, Governmentium eventually collapses and forms a new (much smaller) particle called oppositionum which is denser than previously and struggles to attract new morons. Such is entropy.

Now I know why I never understood politics. I should have paid more attention in my physics class :p
