I was splitting a big archive to email to my mate, went into the options in winrar and set it to split the archive into what I thought was 1MB chunks, but in reality it was 1kb. Went away to get a drink by the time I got back my desktop was full of damn winrar part files. There was in exccess of 10,000, my computer had almost ground to a halt, took me almost 2 bloody hours to get them all off my desktop. Ended up burning it onto a CD and walking accross the road and give it to him.
And the moral of this story 'don't be so lazy'. :p

I don't know why he just didn't go to his desktop folder and "select all" then use "Ctrl" to unselect what he want's to keep.
