In honor of the first manned Moon landing, which took place on July 20, 1969, we’ve added some NASA imagery to the Google Maps interface to help you pay your own visit to our celestial neighbor. Happy lunar surfing.

edit: Click on the (red) balloon A and then keep zooming in (by clicking on the plus button, near the top left corner) to see what the moon is made of...

In honor of yesterday's 36th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing, Google has set up an interactive map of the moon, similar to their Earth map. Go to http://moon.google.com to check it out. And be sure to zoom in for the highest detail!

Reminds me of a joke I read somewhere.

Guy: Darling, I can take you to the moon if you want to.
Gal: Sure, when do we start?
Guy: Err... will moon.google.com suffice for the time being?
