Hey People,
I'm back. I've gotten myself into another sticky wickit! A couple of months ago I downloaded radio stations to listen to thru my PC, but since then whenever my speakers are on I hear a LOUD plopping sound like water dropping into a large barrel? Please tell me what this is, and HOW I CAN GET RID OF IT!!!!! IT IS VERRRRRRRRRY ANNOYING!

Have you restarted your computer since then? If not, that's the first thing I would try.

Another thing you could try is to mute each sound source in your Control Panel mixer, one at a time to see which source is causing it. [Start - Control Panel - Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices - Sounds and Audio Devices - Advanced.]

* Note - If you look, while you're in the Sounds window, there's a place where you can check "Place Volume Icon in the Taskbar". Then all you need to do is double click it instead of going through the Control Panel. ALSO - there are more sound sources that might not be listed in the Volume Control Panel. You can add them from the Volume Control Panel by clicking on OPTIONS - PROPERTIES.
