Here it comes... but according to that animation, it looks to miss the whole of Japan...

I live way off the path of that beast.

I am at work now. We are expecting to receive the typhoon by 3 pm today. I checked my emergency kit, and every thing seems in order. I need to buy a rope in case we ever have to repel down the side of our apartment complex, but my thinks that is overkill.. But I told her to look at those people in New Orleans and then tell me it's overkill.

Right now the weather is calm, but the Typhoon is heading our way.... it just changed course rapidly... but its pace is less than that of a bicycle.. but the winds are still at 100MPH...

There's another pic, though slightly less specific than the first one. It looks to be a monster.

I live on the 4th floor of a concrete apartment complex. I have no worries concerning the stability of the building. I worry about electrical, and water services.

As of 1:51pm it's still calm. I was hoping I'd get off work.. :)

Here's a link to the JMA, giving more specific data including a more pronounced course and direction.

And a nice sat animation of the Typhoon:
