View Full Version : XP PRO SP2 - Something is amiss...

Something has gone amiss in my computer. I cannot put my finger on it, but it is not right. I did a restore to a day when I "think" it was better, but that did not help.

I remember, I think I do, something about a command that can be run, that will check the system for errors and then can replace the files from the master CD. I just purchased a copy of XP PRO with SP2, but cannot remember what I am to run to do this.

Would someone PLEASE help me out ?

sfc /scannow

At the run command.

Commit it to long term memory in the advanced logic department of your cranium. I did. :D

I use it quite a bit when I think a PC is acting strange. It's quite useful.
