Just Recently iv done a Clean install of XP with sp2 intagrted, iv been using the sp1 version of xp for many years, so i switched my network over to SP2 to give it the security i was told SP2 has, last night i tryed to check my main systems event log becasue ts been acting like its running in guest mode, not allowing access to certain files yet im the Administrator, here's the pic of what event viewr is doing,

So your operating in a Limited User acct? Boot into Safe Mode\Admin and check all your accounts. If nothing else, create a new user acct w\admin rights, reboot into that and see what happens.

yeah hate to do that since everythings already installed on main admin account but i can try that route,iv even did the reg edit thing,

I have to agree with RIK. From what i have seen in the pic, this looks like a permissions error
