View Full Version : Link Sys Help - PLEASE

Somehow I lost my OEM Linksys CD for my notebook adapter.
it is a WPC54GS
I downloaded the new driver for the card, and it said the old product had to be removed first. When I did so but it also took away the configuration files for the card. (dumb broad syndrome ?)
the new driver setup will not work right as the ....CFG.EXE file cannot be found.
Can anyone HELP ME? ! PLEASE!
EDIT--- I do know I can to the LINKSYS site, but they only have the "DRIVERS" not the OEM Setup files, which I am missing and in need.

I will check them out. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with them today, only to be told they do NOT offer replacement SETUP CD-ROMS!
What a company!

The problem as I explained to the Tech "creature" was that I DO HAVE the latest drivers, but I DO NOT have the OEM Setup files, which the card is looking for, to set up correctly.
After all that time on the phone, trying to explain my problem, this "creature" then tells me to get out my "STARTUP CD" and put it into the computer. He would not accept my response that THAT IS WHAT I WAS MISSING!

Many, Many thanks, I really DO appreciate the help and assistance... so much I put up a new avatar to go with the new signature.

That seems to help my card to see the network, now to see if I can get beyond that. IF I did not love my hair so much, I would be pulling it out!
