I stumbled upon this resource while doing a search for some tutorials for the Gimp, and man oh man what a jackpot. Loads of tuts. Well worth a look. Not as professionally done as it could be but still quite useful.

I used some guide to make the background for my sig... it didn't turn out exactly like the tutorial, but it looked good enough for me.
