View Full Version : pci vs pci-express GreatGadsby December 1st, 2005, 02:13 AM my son just ordered an nvidia 6600le video card so he can play call of duty 2. apparently he ordered a PCI-E card instead of regular PCI. he doesn't have an AGP slot. can a PCI card slot be converted to a PCI-E slot? Do they even make a PCI version of that card? And if the PC does not have PCIe OR AGP it must be pretty old - 5 or 6 years? Which means that modern games will likely need more than just a graphics card upgrade. (Although I have a PCI-only PIII at home which would probably take a 1GHz CPU and be playable at least)
