In case you haven't spotted it yet, we now have a panel in the top right corner which displays links to the recent posts from our 4 front page categories.

I like it. This should help in reducing the number of duplicate posts concerning tech new that we (I) make in the forum.

Its the graphic banner in this screenshot that screws up everything for me:

Looks perfect to me. It makes it much easier to see what is happening on the front page. A nice way to tie the forums back into the front page.

Here's what it looks like for me:

Yup.. the top

Takes up too much "header" spaceIs the same size as the google ad unit that was previously positioned there.

Its the graphic banner in this screenshot that screws up everything for me: How do you mean, it screws everything up. The google unit is the same height as the search bar that was previously there.

Btw, the ads are geo targeted so you won't always see a graphic banner, it will mostly be the normal google text ads.

Not too bad Rev... Is there a way to turn it off per profile though? I usually read all the news stories first then go to the forum...

But nice nonetheless :D

How do you mean, it screws everything up.It's just that one banner- it looks a little out of place- everything else is so clean :D

This one for example, is way cleaner:

But how do you know while you are in the forums that the news hasn't been updated? Stay with the times homeboy. This is the future C-Daddy. :D

It's just that one banner- it looks a little out of place- everything else is so clean :D The banners are are out of my control. It all depends on what rotation Google is implementing at the time.
