I have 99 invitations if anyone wants one. I sent one to efc, so I thought I'd do the same for anyone else on Techzonez. Just post here with your email or pm me.

gmail is great!

I use it as storage for password protected files and does it last forever?

or 1 month like hotmail? or 3 months like yahoo?

if you do not sign in to hotmail or yahoo after a select time they delete all your files.

I don't know how long it lasts... but I should think they have some sort of limits to prevent abandoned email addresses... and people who die etc...

Here's an interesting article on "disposable email address:"

GMAIL doesn't fair well for this sort of thing.

does anyone use the google chat? I use it quite often with my buddies.I do too. But I have most of my friends on MSN so I use it only rarely.

GMAIL doesn't fair well for this sort of thing.Who uses a + in their e-mail address? Especially when you've got 100 invites lying around and when you can send a few to yourself :p

Hello guys, I could use an invite because Im going to have to wipe my disk and reinstall the os because I dont have a valid key installed. A friend did it without me knowing it wasnt valid. I have a valid disk but it wont install on top of the one that I have to make the key valid- oh this is XP I'm talking about. To make a long story short, I need somewhere to save my files until the change over is done. I have a cpu with 4gb no cdwritable, 1 a drive with 1.44 capacity and some usb ports that I have never used therefore I dont know if they work. I can save 2gb on my yahoo. but I need somewhere else for the other 2 gb.

I have 100 invites too, so if you want one PM me.

The data stored in Gmail server lasts as long as your account lasts. Your account is automatically cancelled if it is not accessed for 9 months, so I guess that's the default period.

I just sent another. Also remember for your own privacy, don't post your email address in the threads. The spambots can pick up on it there. Send it thru PM only. ;)

Ahh, I hadnt even thought of the spam bots. I still am learning how that all works up until a couple of days ago it was a mystery to me how they could get my addy as b/c of the junk mail I generally dont sign up for anything.
