Cannot Search using address bar

I recently had a problem with my internet address bar. If i type anything into the bar it does not direct me to the page, it just stays on the page it was originally on. If I type something into the address bar and then scroll down form the list of last used pages it directs me to the right page. I can search on google and yahoo, just not using the address bar. I did a system restore yesterday and it went back to working but everytime I shut the computer down and reboot the address bar stops working...Please Help!!!:(

YOu need to run a virus scan/adware scan/ etc....

If that doesn't solve it, try resetting IE's settings *I am assuming you are using IE*
