i read a article somewhere recently that the number of spam emails per person have gone down... i dont think that applies to me though :)

i get about about 70-80 spam emails a day and most of them are either about pills, software or phishing
what about you guys?

You sound like Dvorak. :)

I actually get about 400 bulk mail messages a day with Yahoo, and probably 20-30 with hotmail. I never get any with my techzonez email, and maybe one a week with my gmail.

I get around 6 a day with my ISP's e-mail account, and I've been very careful with it!:( I get tons with my Yahoo and Gmail account but most of them get filtered.

On my ISP account - none (cos I'm careful who I give it to)
On my Hotmail account - 4 or 5 a day (cos I'm not)
Don't think I've noticed any reduction though. Still get less
spam e-mail than I do snail mail

So much so that I had to change my email addy (thus the problem with finding "me" again here on techzonzez!) When I called my ISP for help they said, "oh well, you got all that SPAM because your email name is "sexual".........I said "whaaaaaaaat?"

"Well, MYBIGGUY is/has a sexual suggestion and that is why you are a target."

:wtf:

Alrighty then, I had it for three years and they just now found me???? Oh well, I've had absolutely none since changing. Thank God! At this point, I DO NOT need any Viagra. Unless I decide on that sex change soon! :D

I started getting a whole bunch of them for some reason, (obviously something I did) but I started getting about 6 or 7 a day.

So I changed my e-mail, but before I did I wrote and automatic responder on my mail server :D

I was going to leave it at that and close my old account but I'm having way to much fun watching this spam bouncing back and forth now.

Did you ever think that maybe you do need to lose weight, get a better interest rate on your mortage, grow more hair on top of your head, replace those expensive vitamin pills with cheaper alternatives, and get a larger man-thing? That which you call SPAM is specifically targetted to your needs. And that guy in Nigeria.... made me a millionaire. No regrets.

On Hotmail, 1 or 2 per week but they don't get through filter.
On Yahoo, probably over 100 a day but most (almost all) are caught by the filter.
Gmail is somewhere in between (5-10 a day) but the problem is that the filter is crap, many get through.

So from my experience, Hotmail are doing the best job because it has improved a lot recently.

Something funny you might like to know. I opened a test Yahoo account recently because I was trying to see their new "Outlook" look, and within a few minutes I received 2 spam e-mails (both filtered BTW). I hadn't posted the address on any forum or website, I hadn't even sent a single e-mail with the new address. They have a big spam problem.
