View Full Version : KaZaA poisoned with salted files?

Is there a conspiracy to flood the KaZaA file-sharing network with bad files?
In recent weeks, several Reg readers have told us of a growing pattern of 'looped', incomplete MP3 files (posing as full tracks) being offered for download on KaZaA.com. In other instances, songs are intentionally misnamed.
One reader had to download 63 tracks, and then sort through the salted and mislabelled files in order to successfully download all the songs from an album containing 12 songs.
Is there a conspiracy that the RIAA is trying to cause KaZaA to "implode with bad files"?

well, I use Kazaa for certain files, with TMD, and SMR in the title...
I use edonkey for better quality files...
I use bulbster and limewire for audio files.
Simple as that..

Haven't heard, though I don't illegally download anyhow. I think if you feel a need to steal then you deserve what you get. Meh, they should put viruses that totally screw up the downloaders PC to a point where it almost blows up, then the FBI should come knocking on their door.
I'm not messed up though *grins*
