Would a Windows Media Player 10 update cause this? Especially since I installed WMP 11 beta yesterday.

Pia,I would uninstall WMP 11 and roll it back to the last version to find out.Yes,a new version,along with older hardware could give you a BSOD.What was wrong with WMP 10?:D
