Vista won't load Avast AV's drivers because of known compatibility issues. So anyone know of an RC1-compatible antivirus proggy?

The Latest release of Avast works just fine with Vista.

Avast! Home Edition (http://www.majorgeeks.com/Avast_Home_Edition_d1968.html)

The latest Avast did NOT work for me. Threw the system into a 0X8E reboot loop. I also tried the Trend Micro and it would not install saying it was not for this version of Windows.

Avast 4.7.892 works for a whole bunch of people.

There is also a blurb on Awil's website saying that it works. I don't know what build your running but I have tested it on 5600 and 5728.

I'm running 5728.

Then it should work on an X86 machine anyway.

5728 + Avast OK for me. Perhaps you have a virus.
