Any idea where I can download a copy of the lexmark 4029 Laserprinter repair manual?
The printer stopped working, gave an error code which pointed to a fan problem. After looking on the Lexmark site it pointed me straight at the problem (broken plenum, must have slammed the lid down too hard :embarass: :embarass: ) I just cant see how to dis-assemble the lid to get at the damn thing to glue it back together
Thanks

Quick reference guide there.

Here's a similar manual for $6.

And quite a few here:

But I downloaded one and checked. It's for the 4022 model laser printer, but it might be similar to the 4029... You'll have to check it out and make that distinction:

They had a manual for the 4039, a very similar model.
The printer is now in bits on the kitchen table.
What has happened is that the plastic plenum in which the fan sits has basically disintegrated:eek: Very brittle plastic, looks like heat and age has affected it. I doubt if poxy resin will stick it back together as the design is very poor, 2 thin legs stick out from the plenum, with threaded holes in the end to attach to the main lid assembly, taking most of the shock of the closing lid.
I'll look around for a scrap one for parts , if not its in the bin. Pity, there was a cheap toner cartridge on ebay today , typical of my luck at the moment!!
Thanks anyway.
