 download (http://download.microsoft.com/download/ie6sp1/finrel/6_sp1/W98NT42KMeXP/EN-US/ie6setup.exe)

To get complete version of IE6sp1:

First create a folder c:\ie6,

then download the above file to that folder

Start the run dialog and type this command WITH quotes!!

"C:\ie6\ie6setup.exe" /c:"ie6wzd.exe /d /s:""#E"

This command will invoke a special setup screen.
Then choose a download folder, Select all OS's and download

thanks to Bink (http://www.bink.nu/ie6/) for the tip

If you have Windows XP SP1 installed you do not need the IE 6 SP1,as it is already included

Shameless advertisment:
Everybody who has IE problems, use:

Mozilla- if you want browser, email, ICQ chat, or web page editor.

Mozilla Firebird- if you want browser only.

Ive heard that Microsoft released patches/updates for IE 6 that are available exclusively on the Windows XP SP2 CD. I have windows 2k with IE 6 SP1. Is this the end of the line for any more major IE updates/patches for win2k users?

You should still be able to get the updates you need from the Windows Update site.

ya, but those are critical security updates only. no more software updates. for instance, no win media player 10 and anti-spyware for win2k.
