View Full Version : Drive with Water in the tank

Man invents a new form of Hydrogen fuel that cuts through metal and almost anything else, yet won't burn the skin???

Then, he decides to blow the pants off those Saudi Oil Sultans and patent the technology for use in a car.

His mix, water and electricity, and that's it. It's enough to burn a hole completely through a piece of charcoal in 3 seconds... and make an iron ball start glowing in less time than that...

Check out the video to see it, in case you don't believe it.

My question is why is this not all over every media outlet in the world?

I had seen this a while ago and wondered the same thing. The only logicial explanation I could come up with was that it was a hoax, or at the very least not completely true.

watched this last year and it is a breakthrough and they predict will be used widely in 6 years after enormous patent securing.

hope its true since we have lots of rain here and I love to drive :D

I wonder if I use some premium bottled water if I'd get better water mileage? :)

evian anyone?

Not at $8 plus a gallon. It has to run on Louisiana bayou water. :D

nventor Of Water Powered Car Murdered?

This was an amazing video that was just released today on Google Video. This man Stan Meyer's built a car than runs entirely on water. The car gets 100 miles to the gallon, which is just astonishing. Well, what do you think happened to this earth changing inventor.... hmm the man was allegedly poisoned, and died in 1998. Later that week all of his equipment and the car that he created has stolen and never recovered. Stan Meyer's had spoken repeatedly about how he was being threatened by oil companies, but refused to bow to their wishes of abandoning the project.

oh man.. that is terrible if it ever turns out it was the oil companies! gee... why cant they be happy with new inventions! argh...

Without an "Energy Available" or a Thermodynamic study, I pumped out a few figures over coffee this morning.

A 2.5 liter engine at 50mph and approximately 1000rpm will make such a trip in 2 hours. Discounting the combustion cycle, the engine will suck in 2.5 liters of air/fuel per revolution x 500 rpm x 120 minutes per 100 miles= 150000 liters being sucked into the engine and pushed out the exhaust in this 100 mile trip.

Completely disassociating 4oz of water will yield close to 1415 liters of hydrogen and 583 liters of oxygen for a total volume of 1998 liters.

100 miles per 150000 liters of required gaseous intake multiplied by 1998 liters available, says he has sucked his entire volume of fuel mixture through the engine after going 1.3 miles.

"What would I do with a brain if I had one??" DRB

So DRB, from the numbers u saying you will need lots more of water to get the same performance or is it the other way... that 2litres of water will give enough power to travel 100miles?

lol, confused

Cash,
My only point is that no matter what he has actually done, he isn't telling us anything that is true. Just lies and parlor tricks to get in the headlines!
He may well have used 4oz of water during his 100mi. trip, maybe to spritz on his face as he burnt approx. 3.5gal of gasoline to do the trip. But he certainly didn't propel his vehicle with that ammt of decomposed water.
He mentions his fuel as HHO which indicates that he is using a proton separator membrane. This technology can only be used in an electric car- yet he shows us a modified internal combustion engine (which has to use a mixture of flammable gases).
The torch demos are just silly. Torch design requires that the hot portion of the flame be well in front of the torch tip to keep from melting the tip.
Once charcoal reaches combustion temperature, you can shut off the torch and it will burn completely. OR! If you want the charcoal to burn fast and bright, shut off the hydrogen and supply only the oxygen to the already burning chunk of fuel.
Unless the energy to disassociate the hydrogen and oxygen in water is free, I don't see how it could ever be an economical source of transportation fuel.
Water and CO2 are low energy chemical ashes. That's why they put them in fire extinguishers! DRB

Ahh... i get it now :)

Well hopefully some new technologies are developed for increased MPG. There is a new XPrise with the goal to get a minimum of 100MPG and be cheap/reliable like a normal car :)

Until then i guess we got to love the big muscle cars ;)
