Some journalist from PCworld gets a call from his editor about an unusual assignment. He wants him to relinquish his PC for 20 days, no computer, no internet, off the WWW for 20 whole days. He's not even allowed to use a terminal machine at a library.
He documents the whole experience and makes you think about how truly valuable or not a computer is.

wow, 20 days... that is a big step... i wonder if they'll invent withdrawal symptom patches for the PCs?! :p

oh i remember u took a week off last year for vacation with wifey... i think the internet SPAM was reduced 25% that week :p

I wonder how many people at home (not work) would use the PC if they didn't have internet ?

Think the most I went is 4.5 days when me and my girl went to Yosemite last year. When I went to our tradeshow in vegas last month I didnt use the internet for over a week but was on several pcs configuring our crappy software.

oh i remember u took a week off last year for vacation with wifey... i think the internet SPAM was reduced 25% that week :p
