Amazing detail. Some of them feel like they were painted, but actually are images of the aftermath of the sneak attack by the Japanese. It's like being slammed back in time for that brief moment when the photographer flashed those images.

great but sad photos. its amazing the amount of smoke and fire... would have blanketed the whole island.

Are there any TZ members who were there? either enlisted or vacation (maybe as a child)?
