d3d9.dll Problem

Hey, when i am playing the game F.E.A.R everytime at this one part i will always recieve a message saying that i am missing d3d9.dll or there is a problem with it and the game will shut down. I have replaced the d3d9.dll file but nothing seems to work. Also i get this message when i get kicked out of the game

try running dxdiag from a run line and see what the Direct X Diagnostics say.

have you tried re-installing directx 9?

for most the newer games you need the latest version of directx 9c... there is an August or October version that is released.

Did all of that and still no luck.

DX doesn't use 'automatic update'. Have you got latest version from HERE? http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.mspx

I have to ask if this is a legitimate copy as most problems with this dll occur with cracked versions. No disrespect meant :D
