Canonical, the sponsor of Ubuntu, and Linspire, the developer of Linspire and Freespire, on Feb. 8 announced a technology partnership to integrate with each other's Linux distributions. Honestly, this scares me. I am impressed with what Ubuntu has become...but on the other hand I am not now nor will I ever be a Linspire\Freespire user. I have run both for a short period and found nothing exceptional about the Lin\Free Spire series, but do like what Ubuntu has become. This combination just leaves me...wondering...
