Small XP home question

Hey guys,Maybe someone here can answer this question for me as i have never tried what i am asking.Im about to install a fresh copy of XP home on a friends PC.They have there XP home CD and key however there CD is very old (one of the first XP home CD's without SP1 or 2) so i was wondering since i have an XP home SP2 CD could i use it to install XP with there key eliminating the time that it would otherwise take to install SP2 and most updates?I never tried this so i dont know if the key will work on a SP2 CD or not.Any answers would be great :D

Should work fine. I've used the same key with the origional XP Pro to Xp Pro with SP2 integrated.

Retail to retail and oem to oem but I don't think you can mix them.

Thanks for the imput guys.The copy she has came with her PC (a dell) mine was purchased retail for a custom build PC.Question is would hers be considered OEM?
