I remember that your current motherboard was one of the better ones on the market. Unless you're going to upgrade to new chip/memory etc it might not be worth the 1% gain.

Your best bet might be to change the configuration... i.e. try using SATA2 (i think it supports it) and in RAID 0 mode. upgrade to 2GB of faster memory to overclock a little bit. Maybe a stronger PSU like 500W would add some stability too.

Hopefully this is good info :) good luck.

like cash said I'd upgrade to 2 gigs of ram. You could even get an added boost by going with a raptor hard drive. I had that board and it is a rock solid board.

Its behind but not as much as one would think....

I have that board with This CPU (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103582) , 2gig ram (Crucial Ballistix), WD Raptor and Nvidia 6800 Ultra. Thing is still dam fast..... I have no need for anything faster, maybe in a few more years ?

If you want to upgrade a bit try one of These dual cores (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010340343+1051707439&name=Socket+939) and some more ram.

If you want to upgrade all the way ( MB, CPU, DDRll ram, PCIe GFX ) go the Intel Core 2 Duo route.

I agree, even the base E6320 is blazing! I'm still saving for it ;)
