I was also the computer technology contact for my school, we ctcs helped put out the small fires in regard to computers. Simple things like sir did you plug it in? Consider the highly rated freeware defrag software "Auslogic Disk Defrag currently in version 1.4.16.308. It is much faster than Windows defrag. Find it here. I found quite a few suggestions on what to do about it but none of it worked. The moderator for auslogistics and I discussed through e-mail and he said he'd heard quite a few people were showing up with this problem. He wondered if it were related in some way to service pack two for xp.
