OE6 & so called "unsafe attachments"

for the life of me- i did a clean reinstall of my standalone laptop and put in ie6 and sp1 as well.

now i am finding my i cannot read my email attachments-

when i double click on the email with the attachments - the email popups again with a message under the tools menu- saying

OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail.

i did some research on the ms knowledge base and i do not understand it.

can anyone help?

In Outlook Express, click on Tools, Options, Security, uncheck where it says "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened..."
