Call me negative. Call me vindictive. Call me crazy. In my humble opinion, anyone taking them up on this offer will become totally dependent on Microsoft. Besides (my opinion only) everything in the MS software inventory is worth half of the $299 price tag.

Of course, I was one of the few people that was wishing for a court decision that would break up Microsoft.

I agree with you that the worth factor is subjective, however, if you were to price those licenses separately at a retail and legal level, then indeed you would be getting everything they say for 299, that would cost over 10,000.. I won't be purchasing this, but if someone were running a small business and needed the licensing at a low cost, this would most likely fit the ticket.

did you read the license agreement? it said that after 1 year you agree to destroy any microsoft software supplied with the subscription... LOL.... lets pay and then destroy it LOL

they are opening us up for the web based software spider that allows us to run any m$ product
when you buy the new cd in the stores and put it into the computer you get a webpage asking for the internet

yes
the cd contains a 56k html file only

once connected to the web you will download the giant sucubus of software and you will be happy

but after reading the fine print you will see that the software is good for only 1000 hours of use and will encrypt on the harddrive after that time

your cd will be absolutely useless as an aol coffee placemat

you will then have to pay a subscription fee based on quarterly payments to continue using the software

the license states that you only purchased the right to borrow the product for 1000 hours and are not given the ownership of a personal copy

this in fact will be pay-per-view

in 10 years i think we will never have our own copy of any software
just live streams of software that wil stop working if you cant keep up to the bills, bills, bills
