Richard January 22nd, 2003, 00:46 AM Are you doing a reinstall of Windows XP or is this a new install? Richard January 22nd, 2003, 00:49 AM Try this. 1) pop the XP CD into the CD-Rom and remember your CD-Rom drive letter 2) Go to Start->Run and type as follows (substitute your CD-Rom drive letter for "X") EXPAND X:\i386\SPTIP.DL C:\SPTIP.DLL 3) Now you can copy the file to the directory that is needed .. or at least tell the install program where the file is located. ** Hope this helps mattryan13 January 22nd, 2003, 01:02 AM Richard - this is a new install - Matt Richard January 22nd, 2003, 01:10 AM Try the thing I mentioned in the post above. Reverend January 22nd, 2003, 01:21 AM Try Richards suggestion. If that fails go to Start > Run. Type in sfc /scannow and hit enter. (remember to leave a space between sfc and / ) You'll need to pop your XP CD in during the scan. mattryan13 January 22nd, 2003, 01:23 AM Richard - I tried that - no luck. I forgot to mention this is a corporate version of Xp pro. - Matt. Reverend January 22nd, 2003, 01:25 AM Try my suggestion in the previous post. mattryan13 January 22nd, 2003, 01:37 AM No luck with the Rev's suggestion either.
