So far I have switched over to 42.30 with good results. I found this good Driver Cleaner (http://www.driverheaven.net/cleaner/DCSetup_061.zip) from the good folks over at Driver Heaven. It works with both ATI and Nvidia cards. There is a read-me file included with the download.
