AMD XP 2000+ 256MB PC2100 DDR Desktop With 64MB Video, Sound, V.90 56K FAX/Modem, 10/100base LAN USB2.0, 40GB HD, 52x CDRW, FDD, KB/MS.
Just got my brother that PC for his birthday as a starter PC.
It is 100% upgradeable, has afull tower, everything minus the monitor (already have one for him) for $285+59.99 shipping= $344.00 in total. :D
I think it is a fair deal.

I hope he likes it. It's not that spectacular but it will get him started in the PC world. :D
It has an AGP slot so he can add a graphics card later, and it has 2 open PCI slots for further expansion.

I've "purchased" several software titles to add to the HDD. I am sure he will enjoy it.
Software titles:
Windows XP Pro
Norton AV 2003
Bullet Proof Server
Nero Burning ROM
Adobe Photoshop
WinDVD
PowerDVD
Regcleaner
WinRAR Corporate
Office XP Professional
Quicktime 6.0 Pro
Sygate Personal Firewall
Kazaa
Emule
mIRC
and so on...
I will be giving him several games to try out his new PC with. Hopefully he will appreciate it.
:D
