For the money get the ATI 9500pro. Go get one now and don't look back :)

It will stomp the guts of a FX 5600/ultra

The 9500pro is faster & it has 8 pixel pipelines as opposed to the 9600's 4. Here's a good link for 9500pro vs 9600pro (http://firingsquad.gamers.com/hardware/ati_radeon_9600_pro_review/default.asp)

If you can afford the 9700pro then thats the one to get, but 9500pro is best deal for the money.

I paid $389 US for my 9800pro, how much is that in Canada ?

I have a question for you egghead....whats wrong with your 9000pro ? are you into gaming so much that the 9000pro isn't keeping up ?

also if you can get a good price on a Nvidia Ti 4200/4400/4600 they will play every game fast as long as AA & Aniso are turned off. I think it would be best to get one of these cards if your going to get something less than the ATI 9500/9600pro's;)

Don't worry about Direct X 9, by the time DX9 games are main stream you'll probley be able to get a ATI 9800pro or FX 5900 for $100...hehe

Oh and about that AGP 8X thing....in the Dictionary AGP 8X is one of the definitions for HYPE ;)

ATI 9500pro= great performance plus AA & AF
Nvidia Ti's 4200/4400/4600=great performance minus the AA & AF
