hey guys, I saw the cat3.5s too, just make sure you read the relevant forums for Radeons with 3.5, some people have been having some bugs that werent rectified from 3.4.
Just some warnings thats all... make sure you 'system restore' before installing... me... Im stuck at cat2.3 cos running old ATi 7200 :D and newer cats just wont work on mine.

The 2.4.60 are the 3.5's
Un-install your control panel first, leave your drivers installed. Run the Omega exe. then select the 9500\9700 hack when it comes up :) you will be all set LK.....forgot you were an ATI fanboy now....hehe

What control panel? I just have the drivers I think. Since it already has OC I uninstalled the control panel.
so you don't uninstall and use drivercleaner? Just overwrite?

LK what the heck are you talking about ? how do you adjust all your settings if you don't have a control panel ?
Make sure your control panel is un-installed ! un-install your overclocker because the Omega drivers have everything you need. Do Not ! un-install your drivers, run the Omega exe. and when the tab comes up asking about the 9500 hack click yes, when the tab comes up saying Omega drivers have now been extracted do you wish to install now click yes.
When you get this done and want to know what all the setting's in the wonderful ATI control panel should be set at :) I'd be more than happy too answer

I don't have a control panel - so I will install that now. There is an overclocker already installed - came with the drivers - I need to uninstall that?
I can't find 3.5 control panel - 3D guru says not found.

LK if you don't have a contol panel then why are you going to install one...so you can un-install it ?...lol
If you don't have a control panel because you already un-installed it then don't worry about it...grrr install the Omega's :p
In my post did I say un-install the overclocker???? yes I did so do it ;)

Is this for the Radeon 9700 Pro too? I dont have a control panel either but it may be that I opted not to have/use it when I installed the original card and drivers.I jus dont bother to overclock anymore these days. :)

Fasty, you say not to install contol panel then you say, "When you get this done and want to know what all the setting's in the wonderful ATI control panel should be set at I'd be more than happy too answer" - you are confusing.

LK you take the cake :( why did you un-install the control panel after you installed the Omega drivers ? where did I say that ? I said before you install the Omega drivers un-install your control panel then install the Omega drivers....
Start over....re-format Win.....hehe J/K did you see the J/K part ?
Un-install all of your drivers, use driver cleaner, reboot and install the Omega drivers... pay close attention to the order of which I said these things are too be done

LK you are leading me to belive that you haven't even installed the Omega drivers yet and are worried that you don't even have a control panel with your other drivers ! the reason you un-install the control panel from the other drivers first is because the Omega drivers have their own control panel that must be used with the Omega drivers !! you can't use the regular CAT 3.5 control panel with Omega !!!!
@jan....yes use the 9700 hack that comes with the Omega drivers and of coarse use the Omega control panel
now excuse me while I go take a valluim....maybe 3

I uninstalled old cat drivers and control panel - then I installed older omega drivers and OC. There is no contol panel that I can see - I then just installed the latest Omega drivers and uninstalled the overclocker - I still don't see a control panel - my screenshot is all there is. So I never did have the control panel installed with any of the Omega drivers.
BTW, I just ran 2003 -

Ok I took some valluim and I'm going too try and explain the best I can without being confussing like I was before.
I want you to go back a few post and look at that screen shot you posted of the control panel you don't have and never had....hehe Ok did you see the control panel that you don't have but yet you posted it ?
Ok now look at your desk top.....you might not have one of those either.....lol but anyway right click on it and choose properties, now a control panel that you don't have will pop up...maybe...hehe now click on settings then on that Advanced tab...wait <hocus pocus didly ocus> did magic happen ? do you now have a bunch of tabs for all kind of things to play with ? do you have an OC'er now ? let me know.....if you don't then I'll be the one who needs ta jump off a cliff :(
BTW don't get mad cuz I joke with ya...you know you like it :)
Now let me know if the rest of the control panel shows up :D

Ok that IS the contol panel (nvidea changes it almost completely) As you can see the driver model is correct. Boy look at all them tabs! I bet I can overclock this to...say... 120dpi!

LOL :D
Ok something is really messed up...and I'm not ready for the cliff :)
Go to My Computer>Properties>Hardware>DeviceManager>Display & click on the 9500 Omega (not secondary) and choose update drivers>Install from a specific location>Don't search I'll choose>you should see two Omega 2.4.60...pick the second one and update then re-boot.
If that doesn't work then maybe you need some new drivers from the DriverHeaven link @OmegaCorner
Calling all TZ members with an ATI card...do you have all the tabs (3D,OpenGL,...) in your control panel ?

LOL, I think FG is going to hang himself. Lynch the last screen shot doesnt show the installed control panel, the screen is the default option you get with windows. The 'control panel' adds a few more tabs to adjust DirectX and OpenGL settings etc.
I think it might be best that you do a clean install of your ati drivers and everything related to them.
Check your Add/remove programs list for anything ATi related including Drivers and Control Panel.
Unistall any Control Panels or OC software first. Dont Reboot if it asks. Then Unistall drivers, and use RegCleaner or DriverCleaner Etc... Delete Recyle Bin if any ati files in there.
Reboot. Then press cancel if windows detects new hardware.
Then install just Omega Drivers. Reboot. Now, Omega drivers might include own Control Panel when first installing, so you are now done. If not then install Omega Control Panel. And All done.
Dont install other OC software, as Omega has one included.
The pic shows ATi control panel. Omega should be similar.
Hope it helps.

If required, I have an excellent guide that explains exactly, and in Lynch's terminolgy :p , how to completely!! uninstall ATi drivers. A little extreme but good nonetheless. Especially if something is a little weird.
Just PM ;)

hehe - Fastgame, if you look closer at the first screenshot, it does not contain the installed control panel either - but the correct driver. I have been trying to explain this to you! I tried your method but it did not work. I'll will uninstall it and use drivercleaner and reinstall.
If your reach that cliff, I might throw you a lifeline (rope with a lynchknot) - :p

I did a search @Rage3D & DriverHeaven and only found two threads on ATI control panel missing, one guy rebooted to fix and the other reinstalled the control panel...these were for CAT drivers not Omega drivers.
Thanks for the knot-lynch, I may need it ;)

So I try it again and got the same message. I then try the 2443's and they install fine but I only have have this:

So what do I do? I defy all driver install logic and install Cat 3.4 control panel over Omega 2443 drivers (can't seem to download 3.5's) So now I've got a control panel. I then install Omega 2460 right over the top of it all. Everything seemed to install nicely - I denied the overclocker that Omega supplies because I know the 3.4 Control panel has it. So this is what I end up with:

There you go lynch, thats the control panel :D There may be a problem since it came from cat3.4, but just test each option and if everything is ok, then no probs. Which ATi card do you have? I remember there being a big issue with the later CatDrivers with ATi 9500s - you dont have that do you?
Do another benchmark like before so we can see the difference, if everything has worked then it should be higher - else, back to the earlier cat drivers LOL

Well at least it looks like it is working for you.
Im stuck on Cat2.3, have ATi 7200, I think later cats are just not compatible.
Havent tried Omega drivers though, might not too, since you had these troubles.
