WindowsXP is a great OS, but one pet peeve of mine is how it can be to navigate through each menu, and sub menu. The delay is just long enough to be annoying, but luckily there is an easy way to speed things up if you want.

Click the "Start" button and go to "Run", type "Regedit" and press the the "Ok" button. From there go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Control Panel -> Desktop. Once you're there, go to the MenuShoDelay string and get ready to edit the value which should be "400". To speed up the delay between menu's opening, change this number to 0 and reboot.

After this registry tweak you should notice that menu's pop up instantly when you select them!

I think 0 might be a little too quick - opens menu as even if moving up the list to next menu... use something a little higher than 0 ;) I use 50 and is quick enough, yet gives you enough time to move on.

Well I have 3 rows (and my menus are small + resultiuons is 1280x1024), What I do is as soon as I open All program I go to where I know there is no programs. At the end of the last row, and later I look for the program with more time ;)

Hey kewl I know many that are going to love you (me) for this one, I'm using 75 right now.

I gonna start looking for a way to make the add favorites dialog box longer. This is
getting fun, should be no time before I totaly screw up XP and have to reformat. Up to about once a week now!
