is their any way to disable this, im looking into apps but thier not doin the trick, WFP keeps commin up, i guess i got a Fualty Service pack 4 installed in my win2k adv server, i dont see how delted it, downloaded it again still get this annoying WFP (windows File Protection)

Thought when I tried to access the nadwith limit had been hit.
Another resource for Disabling WFP is JSI FAQ (http://www.jsiinc.com/SUBK/tip5300/rh5392.htm)
I had use it a coup[le of times. They seem to have good and advance material.
Remember that disabling WFP is extremely not recomendable.

i dont like the popup comein up every 20 seconds, it gets very annyoing,

I only get it after I restart, because I change the Kernell file. This is only because I was careless. Should update system files in safe mode when you do it manually (for example for custom NTOSKRNL.EXE)

Those are a lot of different OS (with similar core) that you have problems with. Still I think you have to find what caused them to activate the WFP since the service has a porpuose and is useful. Anyways, the guides to disable WFP are posted and ready to use ;)

lol one is down, and cannot be displayed, the other is only for windows 2000 sp2, not sp4, and hex editing isnt cool lol,

Did you even try to locate that registry entry? I can imagine that SP4 and SP2 are very similar. And if I am not mistaken, SP4 did not add any enhancement to the Windows File Protection scheme.. though I could be wrong.

Windows 2000 has a nifty feature called Windows File Protection that is intended to keep your system out of "DLL Hell." It does this by preventing certain system files, such as .dll's from being overwritten. If, for whatever reason, you decide that you want this feature turned off, you can do this with the following Registry key:

Hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Key: Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
Name: SFCDisable
Data Type: REG_DWORD
Value: FFFFFF9D

The above value will disable Windows File Protection. The default (enabled) is 0. Always use caution and frequent backups when editing the Registry.



I'd say that is your best bet, but then you are running the chance of making your installation worthless...
