Maybe you were viewing a web page with DoubleClick advertisements, hence the connection attempt.

How come my PG never blocks anything? I have emule running right now. Maybe Sygate is stopping the traffic? Why does the timezone say GMT time?

Maybe no one's looking at ip addy right now. Also, if you put the addy's in sygate, sygate will block them before Peer Guardian gets a chance to. The timezone is just the default one that Peer Guardian uses.

LOL....Boogs is wearing it like a proud badge!!!:D
Don't worry, I'll come visit if they nab you!

I think it will be funny when they send me a letter. Hopefully, it will be in English, and my ISP speaks Japanese LOL.

Anyway, I cannot go without emule. I'll be screwed. The developers need to implement some kind of privacy or anonymity.. into the core of the program. Something that hides at least our IP address, or encrypts the file names so that bots cannot scan them. Or even someway to control who uploads from us, where we can run a WHOIS before they begin uploading..
but that would definitely defeat the purpose of P2P.
:P

Oh and one more thing,
the count went up to 3700 times over the course of the night :D Want a pic?

And the funny thing is, Sygate is also blocking the same IP addresses..

I have since followed some of the advice in this thread:
http://forums.edonkey2000.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=51187&highlight=peer+guardia

The funny thing is, most of the stuff I am sharing on emule is BIN/CUe,
So that would mean that they would have to download the entire file from me to actually prove that I have violated their copyright. In fact, most of the files I am sharing are fake *wink *wink..
so how can they prove beyond a reasonable doubt that indeed I am sharing the files that they claim I am, if say I were ever sent one of those letters?

My PG must not be working I have it on all day with Emule - still nothing blocked.

I wonder if I should delete contents of emule incoming - there's alot of stuff there.

I haven't recieved any hits either....

What do you all usually set your aggression level at for peer guardian?
I would assume the higher the better but with applications such as
IE, the highest setting would just not make the crappy browser work

One more question

If Sygate and PG or both working in the backround wouldnt that be
considered a decent one two punch or a good backup if something
happened to get past Sygate?

I don't know everything so if anyone has better suggestions feel free

something from Napster tried connecting
to me 40 times in five minutes

Comcast as well...

if anyone from other countries doesn't know
what comcast is its a cable company...

but why would comcast try connecting to my computer?
